Dungeons & Dragons 3E

I've been playing AD&D since I was 12 years old (over 25+ years now - wow). I was introduced to the game by my Social Studies teacher during the Study Hall period she monitored. She happened to have the rulebooks with her one day & I asked what the colorful books on the desk were. The rest is history.

I was hooked. Soon I was asking for all the books as presents and my parents and grand-parents were kind enough to buy them. I still have all the original 1st Edition books (some are pretty beat up now).

During high school, I played with a variety of my classmates whenever we could, evenings, weekends, school breaks. Sometimes I DM'd, sometimes I played, sometimes I did both, playing a PC along with the rest of the party if the numbers were small.

Our gaming continued on all through high school into college as well, playing when we were home on weekends and breaks, as well as with a new gaming circle at college we established with new friends.

Gaming has contined on, through the wonderful Mazes & Monsters scare of the mid-'80's (I forget how many times I've explained "it's just a game" to people over the years) into our post-college years with marriages, moves, distance, winter driving and other obstacles.

My current gaming group consists of one of my best friends from high school, Jarrod, and college, Mike (or Jr. as he is known), as well as my brother Chris (currently on Paternity Leave though - they are expecting TWINS!) and my other friends, Pete, Jef, Jerry and Dave. But our gaming circle has also included others of our friends network (Greg, Erik & Brent [wave high from Kuwait BZ!]). We have adopted the new 3E rules (and later 3.5 rules) and have been exploring them since their release at GenCon 2000, which several of us attended and purchased our Core Rules I, II & III there.
