Pearl Jam
|
Pearl Jam was formed out of the ashes of the seminal Seattle band, Mother Love Bone, by bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard, when frontman Andrew Wood's drug overdose led to MLB's disbanding, recruiting Eddie Vedder, an unknown San Diego native as vocailist.
Vedder joined with Ament and Gossard (surviving members of Mother Love Bone), as well as members of Soundgarden on a tribute album under the name Temple of the Dog (after a Mother Love Bone song).
Members of the band continue to release additional material via side projects as well. Brad, Three Fish, the Rockfords & Mad Season all contain Pearl Jam members.
