Sakkara was born Sakkara Sak'Met Tel'Akiir, to affluent parents in Cairo, Egypt in the year 1962. His life prior to his Embrace was relatively uneventful, save for considerations of monetary, social and educational comfort. Sakkara was the elder child of Jabra and Martika Tel"Akiir, a professor at the University of Cairo and a painter. He had a younger sister, Marissa. Sakkara was pursuing a career in medicene in Oxford, England at the time of his Embrace. He was vacationing with his family in America, when he was Embraced by a War Party from New York City, preparing to assault Washington D.C. Many things have changed since that night, but Sakkara proved to be a survivor and since coming to terms with his new "life", has never looked back.

He was sired by Cristos, an eccentric Tzimisce, and absorbed into Cristos' Pack, led by by the Kindred known only as "Darryl". After proving himself competent enough to justify his continued existance, by surviving his creation ritual and the susbsequent carnage of the failed assault on D.C., he stayed with Darryl's Pack. They travelled around the globe, preforming tasks that Darryl laid out, communicated to Darryl by someone with much greater power, hidden in secret, somewhere else. After ten years of observation, Darryl approached Sakkara, now quite proficient with the discipline Viccissitude and it's related skills of body alteration, and offered him the opportunity to join the secret Sabbat sect, the Black Hand. As said before, many things have changed since that night, but Sakkara proved why he is a survivor and has continued to never look back.
